Travel Guide: Prince Edward County

Over the Canada Day long weekend, my boyfriend Noah and I visited Prince Edward County for the first time! I’ve heard so many good things about The County so even though we are fully vaccinated, we decided to stick to Ontario when it comes to traveling. Although it wasn’t the best weather, we definitely enjoyed our time there and I thought I’d give you a brief rundown of what we loved during our stay.

SHOPPING

As someone who loves going to vintage stores and antique markets, I had no clue that Prince Edward County was filled with them! I always heard good things about the shopping in Prince Edward County and it did not disappoint. It is more catered to home decor and furniture which is perfect if that’s what you’re shopping for!

1. Dead People’s Antique Stuff

Located in Bloomfield, Dead People’s Antique Stuff gives you a good taste of what kind of things to expect at antique stores without overwhelming you. This place is quite small but has some great gems!

2. Porkie’s Place

Porkie’s Place has a huge property. There’s an outdoor area, the main building (which is a shack) and they even have shipping containers filled with so many fun finds! You never know what to expect in each part of the property.

3. Bonker’s

Interested in tourist items? Bonker’s is the place to go! Located on the main strip in Picton, Bonker’s has a variety of souvenirs. Of course, my boyfriend and I picked up matching hoodies!

ACTIVITY

1. Noble Beast Farms

The perfect outdoor activity for you and your family! Noble Beast Farms are owned by a lovely couple who really know how to make a one-of-a-kind experience. The Bloomin’ Welly Little Trekk goes beyond just walking alpacas. You’ll get the chance to feed the alpacas, watch them majestically run onto the field, and just be fully immersed in watching the alpacas play!

FOOD

1. Huff’s Estate Winery & Inn

Need a reason to visit Huff’s Estate Winery? There are 3 I mention on Instagram Reels. I will say my favourite part about the estate is the wood-fired pizzas! It tastes absolutely incredible and was so worth it. Keep note that they are only doing walk-ins when it comes to the restaurant.

2. The Vic Drive-In

Tater tots – need I say more? This retro diner is the perfect place to go with friends, family or your partner! It was the first time I ever had tater tots and let me just say, they made me obsessed with it! I order it wherever it’s available now.
