To end off the summer, I thought it would be really fun to use my vintage dresses that I’ve purchased in the last year. As you know, I do shop thrifted and vintage but it is definitely not 100% of my closet! I do like to shop sustainable as much as I can and only purchase quality pieces that will last at least a few years in my closet (if I am going to purchase fast fashion). So unfortunately, I won’t be able to link the dresses but I will find similar ones and link the vintage shop that I purchased it from. I do have a “5 Vintage Stores You Can Still Shop” post as well if you’d like to check that out!

The first look is this adorable baby yellow dress from the 1950s. Black Diamond Vintage always has incredible vintage pieces and you have to be on it to snag these one of a kind pieces quickly! The minute I saw this baby doll dress, I was immediately intrigued by the details on the front running down the middle. I love shape of the dress

Another one of my favourite vintage dresses was purchased at the most recent Toronto Vintage Clothing from September Lily. September Lily is definitely one of my go-to vendors to visit when the bi-annual show comes around. This lavender dress is an example of 90s does 60s. I absolutely love the pleated collar detail and the tiered layers.

A great shop to check out if you’re in Kensington Market is Sub Rosa Vintage! They have a variety of styles like this 60s floral dress with an adorable bow in the middle. I love how you can easily turn this dress into a modern day find or go completely retro with a 60s hairstyle and headband.
