If you follow me on Instagram, you’d know how I’m ready for fall. I’m usually not the biggest fan of summer anyways. I’m more about crispy autumn leaves and a cool breeze rather than direct sunlight. I started to transition my feed with fall colours but still summery outfits using some really cute pieces from Ever New (or if you’re from Australia, then you’d know it as Forever New)
I absolutely love wearing this rusty orange colour for autumn. It’s not quite the typical brown that you see everywhere! I decided to pair it with a trending pattern you’ve probably seen around many retail stores which is the keychain/scarf print. I wanted to coordinate my outfit a different way by pairing it with a headscarf that has a similar print and colour palette as he shorts. The material of the top feels a bit more elegant and it’s also a great cut that can be worn in the summer. I ended up pairing it with one of my favourite summer handbags which is a hexagon shaped straw bag from Kembali Collective!
Ever New recently released matching sets and lucky for you, if you love the top I wore, you’d see that there’s a matching skirt that goes with it! I love the peasant midi skirt look and the slight slit in the front makes the entire ensemble look a little flirty for summer. I paired it with some tie up sandals from Sam Edelman that I stole from my sister and wore a wooden beaded bag that I got from a vintage market.
The last outfit incorporates a typical fall element which is a wool hat. We’ve had a number of windy days in Toronto this summer so it didn’t feel unnatural for me to wear a hat when I shot this outfit. I paired the top with a darker toned skirt with a similar shape from Ever New as well but decided this floral skirt was a great way to transition into the fall season. I wore the same Sam Edelman sandals, layered some of my favourite Mejuri necklaces and then wore a Dior inspired saddle bag that’s also from Ever New. Outfit Details
