You all know accessories are my favourite way to make an outfit go from basic to chic. It truly does take your outfit to the next level and I will continue saying it until you believe me (if you’re a non believer that is haha). Continuing on, this spring/summer, there are SO many trends that I am excited for when it comes to accessories! Here is my list of the top 8 must-have spring/summer fashion accessories you need to have this year. You’ll have to watch the video below for the extra 2 😉
1. HAIR CLIPS
I mentioned this in my last accessories post a while back but hair clips are still an on-going trend (not mad about it). I’ve slowed down on my previous obsession but there are a lot of cute ones coming out that get you excited like shells and other beachy types of designs!
2. PEARL TOTE BAG
Of course it’s hard not to mention the coveted Shrimps pearl tote bag. It is such a classic in my opinion and I do see myself wearing it even after the trend. So many stores are copying the design so if you don’t want to invest in the real deal, then I definitely recommend this one I got from Princess Polly. The quality is amazing, and much more affordable than other brands!
3. SHELL JEWELRY
Something that is definitely going to be trending in my opinion are shell jewellery! From shell necklaces to earrings, they give off that perfect beach vibe you’re going for this summer. The earrings in this are from Mejuri’s upcoming Shell Collection that comes out June 24! I am obsessed with the entire thing and if you are too, then click here to get 10% off!
4. RHINESTONE BELT
If you’re an avid Instagram fashion scroller, you probably saw the coveted rhinestone belt. After so many influencers posted about it, influencer marketing eventually got to me that I purchased it! I really do love it and it adds an extra bling to any casual outfit. It’s also the perfect accessory for a night out. I’ve also linked more affordable ones below!
5. TRANSPARENT SUNGLASSES
A huge trend I’ve been seeing everywhere are transparent sunglasses! I am obsessed with the look when they’re pastel coloured glasses. It gives off such a retro vibe. It definitely modernized my 80s vintage trench coat you see below (which I’m going to say again how obsessed I am with it!) I wouldn’t invest so much money into them because they’re definitely a trend piece that you may not want to wear next year.
6. TRANSPARENT BEADED BAG
Another handbag obsession of mine is transparent glass/plastic beaded bags! I wanted one for so long and I was so lucky to find one at a vintage sale for only $35 in comparison to all the insanely expensive bags I found. I think it’s such a fun way to make a look a bit more retro (kind of like the sunglasses trend!)
