Transitioning from Spring to Summer using Matching Sets

Good evening everyone! Recently I’ve been very motivated in uploading videos. 3 years ago, I tried to make it a consistent thing but it was difficult due to not having a laptop powerful enough to handle video editing! Now that I’ve been able to have more time to not only film but edit on a proper laptop, I’ve been focused on creating fashion content through Instagram, IGTV & Youtube. Granted, I’ll always keep my blog but the posts may not be as often anymore! I definitely encourage you to follow me on Instagram and subscribe to my Youtube channel so keep up to date with everything.

For today’s post, I thought I’d show you how I’ve been using my matching sets to transition into summer. The weather in Toronto has been completely bipolar and also a rainy one! We have our chilly days and our insanely hot days so today, I have 3 outfits to show you how I style one of my favourite matching sets from Storets.

The obvious way of styling a matching set is of course, together. I wanted to make it a little different than everyone else who owns it because let’s be real, if you’re into fashion, you’ve definitely see this matching set around! I added an off white cabby hat and paired it with two different gold belts to tie in together with the gold detailing on the buttons. It definitely added some flair to the outfit overall!

Shoes – Boohoo (old)

When it comes to spring weather, it’s still chilly enough that we can use a coat! So to style it and keep you warm, I decided to pair the houndstooth jacket with white shorts and OTK boots for those chilly nights. I wanted to make this a bit more girly by adding pearl earrings and a pearl hair clip in the back of my hair.

I’m not going to lie, coming up with a way to style the skirt was a difficult task for me. I spent a couple of months on it that I didn’t think I’d end up uploading this video or blog post because of how long it took! I stumbled across this gorgeous textured knit top from Zara that I thought went perfectly with the blue in the skirt. I wanted some sort of hair accessory since you know that’s one of my favourite and paired it with 2 gorgeous pearl headbands. This outfit totally felt like Blair Waldorf once I added my fave Blue Vanilla heels. I also decided to add this amazing pearl tote bag from Princess Polly to complete the look!
