Hello, no talk. It’s quite a simple explanation of why I haven’t been posting on my blog as much. I’ve been doing some thinking of where I want to focus my energy when it comes to content creation. I’ve always played with the idea of filming videos, focusing on being on one platform, etc. I don’t want to be posting for the sake of staying consistent. I receive so much advice from other content creators who insist on posting consistently in order to build your brand. I definitely think that it’s true up to a certain extent. When you start to post for the sake of it and not because you’re truly passionate about what you’re creating, then what’s the point? Don’t get me wrong, I’ll continue posting on my blog but I really do think that my most well-engaged audience is on Instagram so it’s been more of a priority for me to focus my time on that platform. So if you haven’t already, come give me a follow for daily outfits, behind the scenes and IGTV!
For today’s post, I wanted to share a trend that I’m excited to wear this spring which is magenta! Neon green is definitely making headlines when it comes to fashion but I honestly don’t think the look is for me. On the other hand, magenta is a colour I can hop on the bandwagon on. I received a couple of pieces from SheIn that I’m super excited to share because I’ve come up with two outfits that show how fun styling this colour can be. Although it can be a bit too vibrant for others, it’s one that I think more people can enjoy wearing versus neon green (which feels a bit over the top for me)
The first out is more casual and perfect for a day out in the sun. I wore this outfit on the weekend and it was such a relaxed and fun outfit to wear on the first nice weekend of spring weather in Toronto. Magenta and red is not a typical colour combination I would immediately go for so I decided to wear contrast blue jeans to tone it down a bit. Matching accessories are the easiest way to make an outfit put together hence the red scrunchie in my hair. Finally, nothing says more casual than by wearing white sneakers!
Top – SheIn
Jeans – Na-kd (old)
Scrunchie – Garage
Shoes – Converse
I love the second outfit because of how chic this corduroy trench coat is. I wanted to go for a very chic and street style vibe by taking photos with this wall on the west end of Toronto. I wore these amazing thigh high boots that I got during a recent ASOS sale. Even though the jacket was the main piece, I wore a mesh black dress to add some detail in case I had my jacket open.
Jacket – SheIn
Dress – Forever21 (old)
Boots – ASOS (sold out)
Sunglasses – Black Market Vintage
Earrings – Forever21
What spring trend are you looking forward to this year?
