Autumn Lookbook 2018

Good evening everyone! I’m so excited for this post because I wanted to make sure when I posted my autumn lookbook, it was my favourite looks of the season. It was really hard to come up with more autumn outfits since I already posted 10 in that one styling video alone! There’s no need to babble on so let’s get into the outfits!

Okay, this one is probably one of my all-time favourites. When I first purchased this shift dress that I thrifted from Common Sort, I saw it paired with a blouse underneath and thought how much the outfit could be elevated with a statement type of blouse. If you remember, I received this blouse from SheIn and I purposely chose it to go with this dress but I knew I wanted to feature it as part of my autumn lookbook which is why it wasn’t shown before. I paired it with my favourite cabby hat of the moment (I know, I actually have a new favourite!) which is a brown leather one from Brixton.

One of my favourite pieces I got this year was a souvenir gift from my bestie, Carolina which is a coral neck tie. I wasn’t all too sure how to style this that wasn’t the typical “collared blouse + skirt” combo. I decided to layer my white blouse with a cropped brown sweater on top and have the collar peaking out. The pattern on the neck tie definitely stands out and coordinates nicely with the sweater. For pants, I’m all for the flared 70s vibes that are trending lately and wore these thrifted white pair that I got a few months ago!

One of the things I tend to do a lot in the autumn and winter are put together very casual looks on an everyday basis and dress it up with accessories so I had to include one of these looks in this year’s lookbook! SURPRISE, I’m wearing a graphic tee. I don’t own many (I own 4 now) and they are normally white with a black text so I wanted to try this one out from the H&M x Morris & Co. collection. This collection is currently my favourite and I’m already ready to spend more money on the rest of it. To dress it up, I wore flared corduroy pants from Forever21 (which you will see a lot on my Instagram if you follow me). I dressed it up by adding a scarf from the H&M x GDP Baker collaboration and wearing a blazer that was thrifted over top.

For the last outfit, again, it features the H&M x Morris Collection. I’ve  never heard of Morris & Co. before but it’s actually a furnishing and decorative arts brand which is very different type of fashion collaboration that you don’t really see a lot. They incorporated patterns they use in their own stores on clothes and it looks spectacular. I got this skirt as an early birthday gift from Noah and I am so in love. I paired it with a sweater from H&M and accessorized with a classic beret to give it a more Parisian vibe.
