Taking Your Leather Shorts From Day To Night

There’s something about leather bottoms that I find so appealing. From faux leather pants to skirts and shorts, I love the different variations of leather as well (i.e. patent, suede to name a couple).  I’ve worn faux leather pants and skirts on my blog before but something I didn’t own were faux leather shorts. I recently received this pair from SheIn as part of the ongoing collaboration with them. The thing I enjoy about this collaboration is that I’m able to get pieces and try out things I most likely wouldn’t find in stores; that’s pretty much the reason I online shop so much more.

I’ve been wanting to get a pair of bright red faux leather pants but I’m not sure if I’m able to go through with it – I’m still getting used to styling red so I opted for a burgundy pair instead. I love the shape of these shorts but I will admit, upon first arrival, it smells terrible; the leather smell was unbearable! Besides that, I really do like them. I probably wouldn’t wear them ALL the time because wearing faux leather bottoms gets annoying when you are constantly standing and sitting throughout the day.  For today’s post, it’s pretty obvious that I’ll be showing you two different outfits – I haven’t done many night time outfits on my blog but if you want to see more of that, let me know in the comments below!

I’m absolutely OBSESSED with this outfit. When I was coming up with it, I originally wasn’t going to wear a jacket on top. Considering I was wearing a white chiffon top underneath the ruffled sweater, I wanted to mix in different elements. Very classy with the collar peaking out but at the same time, it’s edgy and more street style with the moto jacket and cabby hat!

For my night time outfit, I follow the same formula….having a statement piece. I’m not one of those girls who wear all black as my going out outfit. It’s very rare for me to wear all black regardless of the occasion. I love the combination of burgundy and this statement jacket I got from Zara last year in my (Wearable) Street Style Lookbook and wanted to see how it would look with these shorts. It ended up being a perfect going out outfit! If I take off the jacket, you’d see a plain sleeveless knit and when it gets chilly, you have your statement jacket to add some warmth.
