1 Item, 3 Ways: Sequinned Sweater

I’m really looking forward what 2018 will bring! January flew by and Valentine’s Day already passed! With all the new changes and strategies I’ve been coming up with to grow my blog, it’s all really exciting moving forward. I wanted to ask for your advice for a couple of things first: 1) How do you like the new design? and 2) How do you like the types of posts I’ve been publishing this year? I’ve posted a bunch of different types of fashion posts (kind of like how I used to in my first year of blogging but with a lot of improvements). If there’s any type of content you’d like to see then it’d be greatly appreciated if you let me know in the comments below 🙂

As I try not to shop as much because I have an overload of sweaters, I keep trying to think of new ways to style my current sweaters. My absolute favourite addition to my sweater collection is this coloured sequinned one from Zara that my boyfriend got me for Christmas. As much as I love this sweater, I didn’t think about how hard it would be to style so I’ve actually been working on this post for over 2 months to find the perfect outfits!

I’ve been trying to not buy a lot of cropped apparel anymore but because of how unique this sweater would be, it was immediately on my want list! Something I love doing with cropped sweaters is pairing it with a white shirt underneath (a satin-feel to it) because it makes for a great layering piece! I went casual with the rest of the outfit by wearing jeans and OTK boots.

I have been obsessed with being as colour coordinated as I possibly can with my outfits. For this outfit, I’ve knew I wanted to incorporate one of the sequin colours for the rest of the outfit. I decided to go bold with the beret choice and wore this bright pink beret that I found in Kensington Market. Honestly, don’t waste your time with $30+ berets that fast fashion stores are selling them at…all of the ones I’ve gotten were around $12! I paired the sweater with a black corduroy dress from SheIn which is honestly perfect for layering! It’s very similar to a corduroy playsuit that I own but I love how deep the v is for this and that the top you wear underneath shows more.

Lastly, I wanted to tone down the sweater by wearing white instead of black like the other two outfits. I decided to go with a long white blazer and one of my new favourite jeans from Na-kd! I am obsessed with the seam down the middle and the wash of it. I wanted to make the outfit a bit more girly by wearing a satin skinny scarf around my hair like a bow!
