3 Ways Of Styling The Parisian Hat That’s Taking Over Instagram

Trending accessories are probably one of my favourite types of trends. They’re so versatile and a lot of the time it can be worn throughout the year versus certain clothing trends where you can only wear it 1-2 seasons of the year. The top two hat trends are really obvious if you follow fashion it girls around the world. From models to influencers, the cabby hat and beret trend have taken over your feed. Everyone knows how much I wear cabby hats (it’s been shown on my blog over the past year maybe about 20+ times) but berets are seldom on my blog. I’ve slowly been getting more and more berets and wanted to dedicate a post to it on how I style them.

1. MATCHING THE COLOUR OF THE BERET TO PART OF THE OUTFIT

Colour coordinating your outfit takes everything to a whole new level. It’s great owning neutral colours because of the obvious reason being that you can wear it with a lot of outfits but colour coordinating parts of your outfit can easily make you look 10x more fashionable.

2. MATCHING THE MATERIAL OF THE BERET

When I first thought of this outfit, I was wondering if it’d be too much but honestly, the overall looks very put together with the pearls matching the jeans and to go even further, the colour of the beret matches the colour of the cape!

3. RELEASE YOUR INNER PARISIAN

Although Parisians don’t wear berets all the time (thank you to my good friend Laura in France who told me that it was stereotypical), berets still (and probably will for a while) be associated with Parisian fashion. So for the last way, I love having Parisian vibes to it. Even though when I think Paris, I think of the typical beret and striped shirt combo, I wanted to have a different look by having an embellished collar paired with a bow in the front!
