Festive Holiday Lookbook 2017

Ahh! It’s only 10 more days until Christmas Eve which is the beginning of celebrations for most people. I always spend Christmas Eve with my mom’s side of the family and then Christmas Day with my dad’s side. Even though I am at someone’s house, I always like to dress festive for the holidays (or at least I try to). Whether it be a simple look or a full out holiday outfit, I know I can count on having fun when I pick out my Christmas outfits so hopefully you find inspiration in the following looks.

The first outfit is a very old dress from Forever 21 that I still had in my closet. I actually wore it for Christmas 2012! I decided to change up the look a bit by tying a red sash around the waist (thank you Carolina for letting me borrow it!). To add some glam to the outfit, I threw on my faux fur coat that I got from Blue Vanilla last year! The pop of red lips and sash made the overall outfit look extremely festive but is also very simple to put together!

Again, I went through my closet to look for any items that I could put together. I found another dress (from Winners) that had a very simple silhouette. I decided to layer a white long sleeve shirt underneath for extra warm and to accessorize it with a detachable collar. I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before how detachable collars are one of my favourite accessories because it’s so easy to make your outfit look very put together. To add some more texture to the outfit, I wore these patterned tights from the Bethany Mota x Aeropostale collection (SUPER old, I know).

Finally, I thought I’d put more of a casual outfit together. There are definitely those days where I don’t want to try too hard but I still want to look put together. You can never go wrong with a sweater and jeans! So for this look, I wore a red tiered ruffled sweater from SheIn. It makes such a statement but it is annoying to wear when you put a coat on top. Of course, adding a statement necklace is one of the easiest things for me to do so I opted for this rainbow one from Bauble Bar.
