Autumn Outfit Diaries 2017

I’m sure a lot of people would agree that autumn is their favourite season. Personally, I love the chillier weather, the ability to layer clothes and most of all, the leaves changing colours. The very beginning of the season, Toronto had an extremely warm fall but by the end of it, it was cold enough for heavier coats. For today’s post, I thought I’d share 4 outfits that I wore throughout the last few weeks that also give a good sense of how different my style can vary from day to day.

A few weeks ago, I had a couple photoshoot with Carolina and her boyfriend. Of course, we have to coordinate our outfits so since I knew Carolina was going for ivy league vibes in her photoshoot, I wore a plain dress shirt and my go-to skirt. To make it a bit more of her vibes, I added a bow and topped it off with a corduroy jacket.

For this outfit, I wore it on my last at my office job. I actually had to give a presentation that day (at the end of it as well) so I wanted to make sure I look presentable. I mean, if you ask anyone at that workplace, they’d know I always was put together regardless, but, I was presenting to executive committee so I made sure my hair was done as well. I also love how adding a detachable collar makes any outfit stand out. I got this one a couple of years ago but Zara actually has been releasing a few!

This day was the start of cold days in Toronto. I probably (most likely) will complain about the cold in Toronto but I will say it’s my time to bring out all the different jackets and coats I own so I was excited to bring out this new teddy bear coat I got from Tobi. Teddy bear coats look incredibly warm but they’re not…they sure are cozy to put on though! I went for a very casual look by putting on Levi’s jeans and a Vogue t-shirt. The jacket made the outfit stand out more which is always something I like to do.

This last outfit is one I wore yesterday actually. It was much colder but of course, I sucked it up and took photos without my jacket to show you the details. I love dresses that you’re able to layer nicely for colder seasons which was my first thought when I saw this on the Tobi website. I originally was going to wear a dress shirt underneath for some street style kind of vibe but opted for this lettuce trim shirt from H&M because it added more detail to it. It felt very plain but the lettuce trim made it so much better in my eyes. To top it off, I wore a trench coat and of course, a cabby hat.

So trendy with your cabbie hat! I love that those are back in style. You look so pulled together with each outfit.
