Summer Lookbook 2017

Good morning everyone! I’m super excited to show you this summer lookbook because I’ve been shopping a lot recently and I have been experimenting more with my style. I experiment a lot anyways but I feel like a few of these pieces are things I don’t normally wear.

The first outfit is the simplest one but it’s also one of the cutest ones. I’ve been obsessed with this short sleeve sweater from H&M because of the colours. I love the shades of pink and blue in it. I’ve worn this top a bunch of different ways so it’s actually surprising that I didn’t have a 1 Item, 3 Ways post for it! I paired it with a simple overall dress from Forever 21 and Converse Pro Leather. They are literally my go-to shoes if I know I’ll be walking a lot!

Sweater – H&M
Overall Dress – Forever 21
Shoes – Converse

I didn’t think I’d love this outfit as much as I did. It gives off a bit of a vintage vibe because of the top. This top actually was thrifted from Value Village. It was such a good deal ($9) and I think it’s the perfect oversized top to walk around in the summer. I’ve been trying to find a denim skirt so I love this one I picked up from NEON recently. They let me come by to pick out an outfit for the Veld Music Festival so be on the look out for that in August!

Top – Value Village (thrifted)
Skirt – Levis (via NEON)
Shoes – Converse

This dress isn’t something I normally would wear but if you compare it to my graduation dress (click here for that post), there’s one huge similarity: the liner only being on one part of the dress. A lot of people don’t like how liners stop randomly on the dress but I find that it gives off a different look that I love.

The last and final outfit is my absolute favourite. There are two details on this top that immediately drew my attention: the rings and the “sleeves”. I put sleeves in quotations because in the photos, you can tell they can be worn two different ways. Depending on my mood, I’ll either have it so it’s just the straps but I do love how it looks when part of it is hanging. I paired it with the most amazing layered ruffled skirt that I got from SheIn recently. I really love the whole layered ruffled look in sweaters but I find it so intriguing on a skirt. I love the striped details because it adds more texture to the overall look compared to if it was a plain colour.

Top – Zara
Skirt – SheIn
Shoes – Converse
