I’m sure you know I don’t like posting just #OOTD posts on my blog. I know a lot of people love them but I started to enjoy writing on my blog and I feel like for #OOTD posts, there’s not much I can say besides “this is what I wore” and sometimes it’s only for 10 minutes to shoot. That’s why I’ve been posting a bunch of style posts. There are a bunch of outfits that I post exclusively on Instagram if I can’t think of a way to incorporate it into my blog for a styling post of some sorts. So I thought I’d put together an outfit of the week for April of all my Instagram outfits.
I saw Milena (@milenalesecret) and Yasmin (@dresswithyas) do this on theirs and thought it was the perfect way to show you guys the outfits that you haven’t seen if you don’t follow me on Instagram (which you totally should because I’m super happy with my feed haha)
This is the outfit I wore to my hair cut appointment which is why it’s so dark compared to my recent photos both on my blog and Instagram. I went pretty simple and wore a lightweight lavender sweater from H&M that I got on sale for $7 (it’s now $3 for those who wanted it though). Also, I wore a cabby hat when I took photos because the Anastasia vibes were real.
Blair Waldorf was one of the first tv characters whose style I fell in love with. Although I don’t really dress preppy like she does, I do still channel elements of her iconic fashion sense. The ASOS cape I’m wearing is from 2015 sadly but I do recommend looking at their capes because they always have different styles!
It was actually fairly cold the day I got my hair coloured again which is why the outfit photo isn’t a typical standing outside shot. My last post explained the whole process if you wanted to read about it! Anyways, I wore a light wash pair of jeans with a gorgeous ruffled blouse from H&M’s sale section ($15!!).
I wore this outfit to Mikayla’s Easter Shoot. If you wanted to check out the full blog post then click here. Since it was windy the day we shot, I covered myself with a denim jacket and also paired it with my Coach bag as part of their Spring 2017 campaign.
Like I mentioned in the last few posts, I went to Ohio for Easter weekend. I didn’t have time to take full blog photos of my outfit so I thought I’d include them here! For the first one, it’s very similar to outfit 2 but with a different skirt I got at SheIn. I opted to wear Chuck Taylor’s instead of heels I originally planned because of all the walking around I was going to do.
The second outfit, I went to explore Downtown Columbus and if you notice carefully in photos I posted on Twitter, I have a different top on mainly because I kept switching tops. I wore a chambray top over it and tied it with a neckerchief from Jim Thompson (to make it a little different from the outfit post I posted in 2015)
As for the last outfit, it’s super simple. You can tell that if I’m not doing too much that day my outfits still look put together but they’re much more casual. I paired this scallop skirt with an old top I got from Forever 21 and wore a denim jacket over it (a typical kind of spring outfit you’ll see from me!)
