Spring Lookbook 2017

Now that it’s forecasted to be actual spring weather, what better way to start off the week than a lookbook? As I was planning these outfits, I’ve noticed my style completely shifts along with the colour palette I’ve been wearing for the fall and winter. I always knew the colours I wore changed along with the seasons but I never really noticed how I dress completely different until I looked at myself in the mirror. These looks are a bit more on the feminine and girly side but I hope you enjoy them!

Outfit 1

Last summer, this was one of my favourite outfits to wear at work. Since I worked at an office, it was so much fun being able to experiment with my wardrobe. I totally used it as an opportunity to test out future outfits that I’d feature on my blog. The main reason I love this outfit is because of the layering. It’s to no surprise I love layering, even in the warmer months. I wore an embellished collar to add interest to the outfit since the dress shirt and peach dress were plain.

Outfit 2

Of course I had to bring my THE white lace top from Zara. If you were following me last summer, you’d know this was my go-to piece. I styled it at least 10 different ways and I was not ashamed of that. The details on this blouse are gorgeous so this time, I paired it with an H&M Mesh Skirt. It’s actually the same one Taylor Swift wore in NYC. I remember being obsessed with her NYC street style. It was one of my faves. Since it was a bit chilly, I threw on a grey coat from StyleWe. Since the material isn’t super thick, it’s great to wear during spring for when it gets cold!

Outfit 3
I wasn’t quite sure how this outfit was going to turn out but it ended up photographing much better than I thought! I love these embroidered jeans I got at Express for $20! It was such a steal because it was additional 50% off their clearance. I never buy regular priced items there because they always have great deals. I paired it with an old sheer top from Forever 21. To make the outfit stand out, I wore a scarf I picked up at a store called “Obsessions” that’s located in the PATH in downtown Toronto. Each piece has different patterns but they all ended up flowing together 🙂

Outfit 4
I usually purchase stuff on ASOS when it goes on sale so once this sage trench coat finally went on sale, I made sure to get it last summer! Since I couldn’t wear it too much last season, I knew I had to start off the spring season with it! I’m obsessed with the colour and love how different it is compared to the typical beige, light blue and light pink trench coats that are always around!

I loved that embellished collar on the shirt in the first look and how you styled the dress on top of it like a jumper. Too cute! And the sage coat and rusty red skirt in the last look is such an unlikely color combination that just worked so well. Love all of these looks!

Thanks so much Francesca!! I was obsessed with buying embellished collars and still find it the perfect accessory to dazzle something up 🙂 Layering is my absolute favourite haha! The sage coat is incredible – it photographs so nicely even though matching it can get kind of tough!
